OCS 100 / Blended

The standard OCS was established in 2007 by Textile/Organic Exchange and refers in its requirements to the superordinate Content Claim Standard (CCS). In order to label respective articles with OCS, also the complete supply chain has to be certified by OCS. Contrary to GOTS, OCS allows a minimum of 5% organic fibre material in the product. Additionally, blending with conventional cotton or polyester is still allowed. The OCS does neither take social and environmental criteria into account, nor accessories or chemicals. It rather focuses on traceability and verification of organic fibre material within the complete supply chain.
