World-Climate Farm Standard

World-Climate Farm Standard

The World-Climate Farm Standard (WCFS) provides a framework for the calculation, validation and verification of greenhouse gas balances for agricultural businesses and farm communities. Based on ISO 14064, the GHG Protocol and IPCC methodologies, the standard supports the assessment of greenhouse gas emissions and carbon sinks, helping farms identify opportunities to reduce emissions and improve their climate performance.

CERES offers carbon footprint calculations for agricultural businesses and food processors in accordance with the World-Climate Farm Standard. Using the World-Climate Farm Tool, greenhouse gas balances are calculated and independently assessed through validation and verification. Following successful assessment, the operation is certified under the World-Climate Farm Standard and may use the World-Climate Farm Label.
